A Summer Post

The longer I live, the more I become convinced that we cannot compare ourselves to others. God takes us all on different paths, and directs our feet toward different roads. We travel at different paces - sometimes He's got us running, other times barely shuffling. But it all changes us. We have to trust that no matter where we stop along the road, who we pass, or who passes us, that He is still the one shaping us.

  1. Good point.

I have to remind myself that Genesis tells me I was made in "His image", not the image of someone else. Why would I compare myself to Dave, Bill or Sally when I'm made in the image of God? But, I often do.

Thanks for the reminder of who we should look to in order to see what we should look like.
