About this blog:

This blog was originally set up by myself and my best friend, Talissa, as a log of our adventures during a six week trip to Romania in 2009. When I found out I was going to be in Slovakia the summer of 2010, I changed the name and chronicled my experiences there. I was not planning on continuing it after I returned home in August, but a friend of mine suggested that I keep writing, and I have. I write mostly for my parents - to keep them updated on my college life - but also for myself. It feels good to write.

Thus, How De Heck Did This Happen? has become a whole bunch of my life experiences smashed into one little corner of the internet. Happy reading :)
