Well, quite a bit has happened since our last post. Talissa and I are doing as much as we can to get ready for our adventure with the limited time we have between work and other commitments. We have lately been in contact with one of the pastors in Satu Mare and we were thrilled to find out that we now have a place to stay! Him and his wife will be in the States while we are there and they offered us their apartment. Nico, who is a friend of ours, will be staying with us for most of our time in Satu Mare, and for that we are grateful as well. She will also be picking us up at the airport in Budapest, which is really fabulous because then we won't have to ride in one of the airtight and sweltering busses which Talissa dreads so much.
We have also recently been told that the English camp that we had helped with in the past, and that we thought was not going to be happenening, may actually be happenening! We are so excited! I'm not sure I can convey to you the level of excitement we both felt. We were calling each other and yelling and using that high, squeaky, I'm-really-excited voice. The camp is so much fun, and it is a phenomenal place to build relationships with the girls. We feel like it would give us much more of a foundation for reaching out to the girls in the city. (The picture at the top of our blog is of all the campers one year)
I guess that's about it for now. I doubt much will happen until we actually leave, which is in 11 days! whoohoo! Until then,
Cory and Tis
