NPU Take II

Well, I'm back at school for another semester, and so far it looks promising. It is nice to be back at school and in my room. Though I am not a big fan of dorm life, I do like my room. It is cozy; everybody says so.

Yesterday was a bit of an adventure. Amendment, yesterday and the day before was a bit of an adventure. An exchange of vehicles, several trips to the airport, a few trips back and forth between school and the brown line, a Domino's run, and a lack of overnight slips. And all of this with four girls packed into the front seat of my brother's old, white pick-up with the luggage sliding around on the bed. I've slept really well ever since.

My Talissa left for Brazil yesterday (accounting for one of those treks out to O'hare). This is what I wrote in my journal the first time she went:
Seven months and counting. I'm like Sherlock without his Watson, Robin without Batman, the Lone Ranger, but without Tonto.
Perhaps a bit overly dramatic. But true. Here's what I wrote last night:
Tis left for Brazil today, and I realized again how much I love her. I miss her presence already.

On the schedule for today, class and job hunting
with Lily and Brenda. As my dad likes to say, "Back to the gristmill."

  1. Welcome back to campus! It's great to have you (and all the students) back after a very quiet couple of weeks around here. Things are starting to feel lively again. :) And thanks for the cool post. -- Jon Boyd (staff in NPU Digital Communications)
