Have you ever had one of the best massages in the world by a Slovak woman in the Tatrys for ten euros?
Well, neither have I.
Yesterday my team and I spent the day in the mountains relaxing and enjoying nature. We spent a couple of hours up at a beautiful lake, and then one by one, my team members descended the hotel stairs and disappeared into a candle lit room. When they reappeared their faces glowed and they smelled wonderful. I've never been a big fan of massages, so I spent most of the day reading in the cafe and exploring the town, which was so quaint and cute.
Tomorrow half of our team will head out for camps, and on Wednesday the other half will depart. We spent all day Saturday preparing English lessons, and today, I'm sure, will be full of more prep work, but it is all worth it because camps are finally starting! I am really looking forward to building relationships with the campers, and to seeing some friends again from our first visit to the cities.
I would like to ask that you pray for the camps this July. I will be doing three: Liptovsky Hradok, Bardejov, and Levice. Each will be unique and I will face different challenges according to the different camp dynamics. Please pray for the hearts of the students that will be attending and for unity between the intern team, the American team, and the Slovak team as we try to put on this camp together. Also please pray specifically for this first camp. It is the first time this city has hosted a camp like this and there is a lot they don't know and a lot that they will need extra help with.
Thanks for your support! I couldn't do it without you!
